Borough on Fire

Goals from Barry Fuller and a 26th of the season for Steve Morison lifted Mark Stimsons side into 7th place after a 2-0 win at Grays. Fuller fired Borough ahead from 25 yards after 35 minutes. Grays then had defender Andrew Sambrook dismissed for a second bookable offence. Steve Morison wrapping up the points for Stevenage steering home a Jon Nurse pass. Borough have now lost just one of their last eleven in the league.

Saints Run Ends
St Albans recent good run of form ended thanks to a goal from former Stevenage man Dino Maamria 14 minutes from time. Maamria struck from 12 yards out to pull Rushden clear of the relegation zone. The home side had seen Paul Bastock save superbly from Michael Rankine's effort. Saints best opportunity fell to Ahmed deen whose 20 yard effort was saved by Scott Tynan.

Ryman League Division One North
A John Frendo penalty wasn't enough to save Ware from defeat for the third time in four games. The Blues went down 2-1 at Bury Town and are now down to 8th in the table. At the top leaders AFC Hornchurch won 3-1 at Enfield to go 13 points clear. Second placed Harlow drew 0-0 at third placed Canvey Island. Elsewhere Potters Bar Town wrapped up their sixth league win in a row beating Redbridge 3-1.

Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division
Hertford Manager Dave Greenwood all but conceded the title after his side were held 0-0 by leaders Edgware at The Glenridge Stadium. The Blues trail by 11 points with 11 games to play. Welwyn Garden City are up to sixth after a 3-1 win at Colney Heath. London Colney have only lost 1 of their last 6. The Blueboys beating Kingsbury 2-1 at Cotlandswick. St Margaretsbury came back to earth after Tuesdays 5-2 win over Biggleswade United beaten 1-0 at home by Aylesbury Vale. In Division One Hoddesdon lost 1-0 at home to high flying Ampthill Town.

Herts Senior County League
Buntingford made it six league wins in a row winning 3-2 at Hinton. Town are now just 3 points off the top in third place. Hatfield Town are also in contention after a 1-0 win over second placed Hadley. Hertford Heath moved into fifth place following a 4-1 thumping of London Lions. Codicote have won 3 of their last 4 after a 3-2 win over Wormley, while Knebworth eased their relegation worries by beating Bedmond 2-0. In Division One Allenburys stay fourth after losing out to Sarratt 3-2. Wodson Park have now lost 3 of their last 4 after going down 3-2 at Chipperfield. Little Munden were held 1-1 at home by struggling Loughton. Sandridge Rovers are out of the Anagram Records Trophy going down 2-1 at home to The 61FC.
