Saints Strike Back
St Albans 4 York 2
St Albans came from behind against 10 man York to post their first win in 8 games at Clarence Park. The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute when Craig Farrell beat Paul Bastock from close range. The lead lasted just 6 minutes before Darren Cracknell’s free kick pulled Saints back on level terms. Warren Mcbean's first goal for St Albans put Colin Lippiatts side back in front, Mcbean cooly converting Damien Batts cross just after the break. Three minutes later Saints doubled their advantage thanks to Paul Hakim’s 8th goal of the season thumped home from the right hand side of the box. York struck back after 65 minutes through Craig Farrell before they were reduced to 10 men when Darren Craddock saw red for foul and abusive language. St Albans making sure of their first three points since the 9th of September when Elliott Benyon scored right on time.

Two goals from Sam Sloma stopped Borough’s revival as Dagenham & Redbridge continued to put the pressure on league leaders Oxford. Sloma’s first came after only 9 minutes when he concerted Craig Mackail-Smith’s cross. Steve Morison pulled Borough level right on half time with his 11th of the season headed home from close in. Dagenham though sealed the points against the run of play when Sloma drove home from the left hand side of the box just before the hour.

If Ware boss Glen Alzapedi has dreams of a second succesive promotion he will have to hope his young side learn quickly after The Blues were comfortably beaten by high flying Enfield Town at Wodson Park. Former Hertford man Rudi Hall scored twice for the visitors Dean Nyman and ex Ware favourite Ricci Crace adding the other goals.

Hertford stayed on top of the Premier Division on goal difference despite being held to a 2-2 in the local derby at St Margaretsbury. London Colney stay 5th after their third consecutive clean sheet gave them a share of the points at Langford. Welwyn Garden City are up to 6th after drawing 2-2 at away at Holmer Green. Colney Heath's recent good run came to an end as they went down 4-2 at home to Leverstock Green. in Division One Hoddesdon continue to struggle a single goal defeat at home to Buckingham Athletic meaning the Lillywhites are still waiting for their first home points of the season.

Hadley won the top of the table clash with Buntingford by a single goal. a Tony Sabag strike sending Town home pointless. Hertford Heath stay 2nd despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Standon & Puckeridge. two goals from Chris Wickens were enough to give Sandridge Rovers a 2-0 win at Hatfield Town. Rovers are up to 5th in the table. Codicote have won just one of their last eight . A 3-0 defeat at Whitewebbs the latest reverse for Jim Bundy's team. Knebworth were the days top scorers adam Lamacraft and louie Evans both grabbing a brace in the 7-1 thumping of Bushey Rangers. Lemsford remain on top of Division One a Chris Jones goal grabbing a share of the points against Sarratt. Wodson Park have now shipped 12 goals in their last three games after a 5-1 thrashing at Evergreen. allenburys won their second in a row 3-1 at old Parmiterians while Little Munden won at home for the first time this season overcoming Chipperfield 4-1.
