Rockets See Off Rebel Army
Rye House Rockets 49 Somerset Rebels 43
Rye House are through to the Play Off Semi Finals after a tense 49-43 win over Somerset at a packed Hoddesdon stadium. With the first leg in the West Country ending all square it was a tense encounter typified by the first heat which ran to 5 re-runs after a succesion of nervous starts. The Rockets though always managed to keep their noses in front despite missing the injured Tommy Allen and Ben Powell. A 5-1 from Stuart Robson and Edward Kennett in Heat 10 against the unbeaten Emil Kramer proved vital for the home side. Guest Daniel Giffard's lightning gate in Heat 14 allowing Steve Boxall to chalk up the victory the Rockets needed to finally see off the Rebels and book their place in the last four.
