Day Makes It Unhappy Night For Saints

A Matt Day goal 6 minutes from time was enough to give Oxford United victory against a St Albans side that matched the league leaders for long periods. Day drilled a left foot shot home from the left hand corner of the box just a minute after Saints Dave Theobald had headed home from an Adam Wilde corner. Oxford had taken the lead when Yemi Oudabade crashed home a shot from inside the box after being given too much room by the Saints defence half way through the second half. The goal coming just two minutes after the home side were reduced to 10 men when Chris Hargreaves was shown a the red card for a challenge on Tom Davis.
