Rockets Still in Hunt

Rye House Rockets put in a character performance at the Norfolk Arena to keep their hopes of a place in the KO Cup Semi Finals alive. Already missing the injured Jamie Courtney and Luke Bowen the Rockets were forced to operate with rider replacement for Ross Brady who broke two fingers in Saturday's win over Redcar. Steve Boxall was again the hero top scoring with 15+2 including a superb ride when introduced for double points in Heat 14. Chris Neath and Edward Kennett both provided good support as the injury hit line up left themselves in with a real chance of overcoming the 13 point deficit when the teams meet for the second leg in Hoddesdon on Saturday evening.
