Raiders Freeview is Just The Job
Rye House Raiders 54 Buxton Hitmen 38
A crowd of over 1,000 took advantage of free admission to witness the Raiders keep their unbeaten record in tact against some stiff opposition. Buxton played their part in providing a great advert for Conference speedway but in the end the league leaders had too much firepower despite missing injured skipper Luke Bowen. Danny Betson showed why he has been chosen to take Bowen's place in the Premier League Rockets line up with a 14 point haul while Harland Cook produced another solid display dropping just one point all night. Jonathon Bethell and Adam roynon provided spirited opposition for the Hitmen. The only disappointment for the home side was the Heat 7 spill which saw Lee Strudwick withdraw from the rest of the meeting with concussion. Strudwick will now be in a race to get fit in time for Wednesday's visit to Stoke.
