Promotion Top Priority for Borough Boss
New Stevenage Borough manager Mark Stimson was in upbeat mood during his first press conference. The former Grays manager who nearly took the Essex club into the football league last season believes he can fulfil his personal and club ambition to gain promotion during his 3 years at Broadhall Way.
StimsonĀ“s decision to leave the Recreation Ground was influenced by the professionalism and first class facilities at Borough and believes the structure is in place to take the club up a level. Together with assistant Scott Barrett the former Newcastle and Portsmouth full back is looking forward to the challenge. He arrived with only 10 players left from the Westley era and plans to build a team of youth and experience.
With a high quality ground and sound financial support Stevenage Borough hope to have found the final link to achieve league status
Stimson is not daunted by the challenge. "We have got to make it happen. Once it goes to promotion it could go again and we have got to get it started."
