Last Heat Heartache For Rockets
Newcastle Diamonds 47 Rye House Rockets 42
The Rye House Rockets were finally beaten after a dramatic last heat decider at Brough Park. Always in contention the Rockets went into the final race trailing by just 3 points but Edward Kennett fell when trying to avoid the Diamonds George Stancl leaving the home side with a narrow victory. The disappointment though didn't disguise a solid team performance by Rye House with Steve Boxall again outstanding at reserve.
