First Defeat But a Bonus for Raiders
Stoke Spitfires 50 Rye House Raiders 43
The Raiders lost their unbeaten record but came away from Stoke with an all important bonus point to keep their title challenge on course. Already missing skipper Luke Bowen and Barry Burchatt Rye House were further hampered by the absence of Lee Strudwick who was still suffering the after effects of the concussion sustained against Buxton on Saturday. Ben Powell was the hero for the Raiders picking up 17 points from his 6 rides there was also a welcome comeback for Gary Cottham who had been missing since breaking a leg in March.
