Leopards Pay Tribute To Frank
Essex & Herts Leopards basketball players of all ages will be celebrating
the life of Frank Empson and raising money in the process when they stage a
series of games on Saturday.The popular 19-year-old was murdered in Harlow on March 13, and an appeal has been set up to raise money in his memory.The club's under-16 girls' team will take on Southend Swifts at 4pm, followed by the under-16 boys against Frank's former club, UH West Herts Warriors, at 5pm. Warriors will also provide the opposition for the under-19 - Frank's age group - game at 6pm.At 8pm the first game in the Frank Empson Memorial Cup, which is expected to become an annual event, will take place with Leopards men's team taking on
Warriors senior side. Admission to the event is by donation, and the club are looking for sponsors
