Rockets Win Comes At a Price
Rye House Rockets 50 Kings Lynn Stars 40
Rye House Rockets recorded a memorable win over title favourites Kings Lynn but the victory came at a heavy price with skipper Stuart Robson taken to hospital with a suspected broken wrist. Robson was involved in a spectacular Heat 10 spill when he caught the back of Kevin Doolan's machine catapulting through the safety fence. The Rockets were indebted to solid displays from Edward Kennett and Chris Neath while reserves Steve Boxall and Luke Bowen had another excellent night. Had Bowen not suffered engine problems when second in Heat 13 and Boxall not sufffered an engine failure when leading the following race the Rockets margin of victory could have been even greater. In the end though they will be waiting anxiously for news of their injured skipper.
