Last Heat Heartache Again For Rockets
Mildenhall Fen Tigers 46 Rye House Rockets 44
For the second time this season the Rye House Rockets lost out in a final heat decider. as they had at Newport the Rockets came within one race of earning a vital away win before the home side closed the door. Having led by 6 points with just 4 heats left it looked as if the Rockets would finish on top but a Heat 12 5-1 from Sean Tacey and Jon Armstrong pulled the home side back within 2 points. A further success for the Fen Tigers in the next Heat levelled the scores setting up a dramatic last heat decider. Former Rocket Daniel King securing the vital victory with Jason Lyons keeping Edward Kennett back in fourth place to leave the Rockets to contemplate on what might have been.
