Louis Off As Play Off Door Closes On Borough
Stevenage Borough's hopes of a place in the play offs were shattered at the Lawns and to complete Graham Westley's misery he saw Jefferson Louis red carded for violent conduct. Bruno Texiera gave Forest Green the lead 3 minutes before half time after Luke Oliver had headed Borough's best opportunity wide of the target. Julian Alsop's header on the hour doubled Forest Greens advantage before Louis and Green's Darren Jones both saw red with 13 minutes remaining. In the end Morcambe's victory at Grays sealed Borough's fate as once again a season that promised so much ended in frustration.
