Boxall The Key as Rockets Blast Off in Style
Mildenhall Fen Tigers 43 Rye House Rockets 47
The Rye House Rockets got their season off to the perfect start with an impressive victory at West Row in the first leg of the Suffolk/Herts Trophy. Steve Boxall was the star of a solid team performance picking up paid 11 from reserve. With the teams level going into Heat 14 it was Boxall and Tommy Allen who made sure the visitors would get at least a share of the spoils by leaving James Brundle and Jon Armstrong in their wake to record the Rockets third 5-1 of the afternoon. Earlier Boxall became the only man to defeat former Rocket Danny King who made an impressive debut for the Tigers. With a 4 point margin to defend Chris Neath and Stuart Robson used all their experience in the final heat to keep Jason Lyons at the back and set up the win. The second leg is at Rye House on Saturday at 7pm.
