Rocket's Land Grand Prix Qualifier
Rye House Rockets management were delighted with the news that the club has been chosen to host a Qualifying Round for the Championship of Great Britain on Saturday April 22nd. Changes in the rules for the Speedway Grand Prix Series now mean that all riders outside the top 8 have to qualify for a place in the world championship. The meeting will be one of the biggest to be staged at the Hoddesdon track and Promoter Len Silver is already looking for a sponsor. The fixture means the Rockets will now begin the defence of their Premier League Title a month early when the Sheffield Tigers are the visitors on Saturday March 25th.
