Proud Citizens Take Football Honours

Welwyn Garden City have added another chapter to the club´s almanac by reaching the last 16 of the FA Vase in Howard Cowley´s first season.
The replay at Herns Lane proved as tight as the first game with Newmarket Town level at 1-1 after 90 minutes. With penalties looming Alex Kinsley struck the all important winner in extra time to claim a place in round 5 and a visit to Winchester City

Ware extended their lead in Ryman Two with a 3-1 win against Edgware. With Flackwell Heath and Chertsey dropping points the Blues advantage is 5 points
Hertford remain in the bottom two after a goalless draw at fellow strugglers Clapton

London Colney ended a run of 3 games without a win beating Oxhey Jets 2-0 in the South Midlands Premier

Hoddesdon and Codicote advanced to the semi-finals of the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy but Hatfield were beaten. Hoddesdon travel to Bedmond while Codicote entertain Bushey Rangers on February 25th

In the Herts Senior League top flight Buntingford secured an admirable 2-0 win at leaders Whitewebbs Carl Smith scoring both goals while Little Munden shared an eight goal thriller at bottom club Evergreen.
Standon & Puckeridge now lead Division One after putting 5 past Old Parmiterians Simon Coughlan notching a hattrick. Hertford Heath slipped up at Buckhurst Hill while Knebworth kept in touch with a five star display against Cuffley the prolific Jason Drackford scoring twice.
