Tide Goes Out on Bury's Cup Dream
FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round
St Margaretsbury 0 Folkestone Invicta 1
A 72nd minute goal from Michael Everitt was enough to end St Margaretsbury's dreams of FA Cup glory. Everitt slid the ball home after Bury keeper Kris Smithers failed to cut out a left wing cross. For the most part the home side more than matched their Ryman Premier League opponents and should have gone in front on the half hour when Ryan Brown wasted their best opportunity of the match blasting over with only the keeper to beat. That was as close as Bury got to repeating their 1st Qualifying Round heroics as Folkestone held on to take their place in Monday's draw.
