Stevenage turn down bid for club

Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace today revealed that he had turned down a bid for the club from a Bedfordshire based consortium. Wallace indicated that he was enjoying working at Stevenage and the he was under no pressure to sell. Meanwhile, on the field things were set back a little for Boro when they went down 4-1 at Morecambe on Saturday, but that came after an excellent 2-0 win at home to the then league leaders Exeter on Tuesday thanks to goals from George Boyd and Dannie Bulman. Boro now sit in 6th, 5 points off the joint leaders Grays and Accrington, about where they would want to be at this stage
