A Mixed Week for Natalie
Ware´s Natalie Munt was prevented from challenging for the mixed doubles title at the World Badminton Championships when partner Robert Blair had to withdraw with a stress fracture in his right ankle.
The pair had made serene progress to the last 16 beating Americans Khan Bob Malaythong and Mesinee Mangkalakiri 15-6 15-3 and were strongly fancied following the earlier withdrawal of Britains Olympic silver medallists and number one seeds Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms.
In the womens doubles Munt and Tracey Hallam were denied a quarter final place by Malaysia´s 7th seeds Pei Tty Wong and Eei Hui Chin
