Borough Fightback Proves Too Little Too Late

Stevenage Borough slid to their second defeat in 4 days despite a late comeback at Southport. A Carl Baker penalty and a double from Neil Robinson had put the hosts into a 3-0 lead before Anthony Elding’s sharp finish gave Borough some hope. Darren Stamp then reduced the deficit further from the spot but Southport held on to leave Stevenage in 14th place in the early league table.
