Stevenage 0 - 3 Spurs by Andrew Grant

Stevenage kicked off their pre-season campaign with an entertaining affair against two strong Spurs sides, both littered with first team stars that played ineach half with 11 changes at half time. The weather matched the mood of the day as both sides relaxed into some easy going football. Stevenage included new signings Danny Williams on the right wing, and Ollie Berquez in central midfield alongside Dannie Bulman. Anthony Elding and Dino Maamria started up front, despite the former having put in a written transfer request during the close season. There was however no Jason Goodliffe in the side, so Maamria stepped up to take the captain's armband. The first half was a fairly even affair, but the gulf in class was evident between the two sides. Despite this Boro were more than holding their own and almost scored, but Elding's shot was blocked by the gigantic Tom Huddlestone. Spurs took the lead 2 minutes before the break when
