Rockets Tie Postponed
Rye House Rockets Premier Trophy Semi Final with Sheffield Tigers on Saturday has been postponed as the Tigers have not officially qualified for the final four. Sheffield could lose their place as runners up in the Northern Group if Edinburgh win at Stoke by more than 36 points on Saturday. Edinburgh promoter, John Campbell, made an official complaint to the BSPA yesterday (Wednesday) on the basis that, whilst improbable, it was mathematically possible for his team to overtake Sheffield. The BSPA management committee upheld the complaint and barred Rye House from staging the match even on the basis that, should Edinburgh succeed in doing the impossible, the match would revert to being a challenge event and not the semi-final.
