Rockets Beat Reigning Champs
Speedway Premier League
Rye House Rockets 50 Hull Vikings 44
If this is to be their year Rye House Rockets may look back on this one as a significant step towards some long awaited silverware. It may have been the first Premier League meeting of the season but in beating the only team to win at Hoddesdon last season, reigning League Champions Hull the Rockets confirmed they are a match for the very best. Chris Neath returned an immaculate 15 point maximum while skipper Brent Werner and Stuart Robson produced spectacular heat wins from the back. In a close encounter it was Daniel King who sealed the victory holding off Paul Thorp and Emil Kramer in Heat 14.
Rockets Scorers:
S.Robson 9+2
E.Kennett 7
C.Neath 15
T.Allen 0
B.Werner 8+1
K.Ezergaillis 2
D.King 9+1
