Leopards Leave Ware
There will be no EBL Division One basketball at Wodson Park next season after the Essex Herts Leopards announced their intention to share their home fixtures between The Brentwood Centre and the nearby Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham. The decision will come as a bitter blow to East Herts Basketball fans who have enjoyed top quality competition at the Ware venue since the Ware Rebels reformed in the late 1990's. The Leopards will not totally leave town their junior programme will still use Wodson Park as a base while Troy Selvey will continue to coach at Chauncy School. The Big Cats will make one appearance in Ware when they take on local rivals West Herts Warriors on September 3rd.
