Five SuperBlues Go For County Shield Glory

Hertfordshire go into Sundays County Shield Final against North Midlands at Twickenham with 5 Hertford SuperBlues in the line-up. County skipper Dave Hesketh is joined by Alfie Church, Luke Hardwicke, John Mcdonough and Richard Mannion. It will be a particularly big day for back row Alfie Church who becomes the first player to represent the County in a Twickenham Final at Colts and Senior level. Church was also a member of Hertford's victorious Intermediate Cup side of 2003. “There will be a slightly different atmosphere this time – at Hertford we’d been building for years to win the Intermediate Cup, so this year with the county is a bit more of a surprise,” he said.“I’ve been part of the set-up with the county senior side for the last four years, though. It’s something I believe is important to take part in and it’s a nice reward to get to Twickenham again.” Sundays game kicks off at 1pm.
