Rye House Rockets 55 Reading Racers 40
The Rockets maintained their unbeaten record in the Premier Trophy with a comfortable victory over injury hit Reading. Having lost number one Danny Bird last weekend The Racers also had to do without Chris Mills who suffered severe bruising after a spill at Somerset on Friday night. Arena Essex star Leigh Lanham provided a more than adequate replacement for the absent Matej Zager scoring 20 points but Rye House always had too much strength in depth. Edward Kennett and Chris Neath scored paid 13 for The Rockets. Neath producing the ride of the night in heat 3 coming from the back to partner Daniel King to victory. There was also a welcome return to form for skipper Brent Werner who scored paid 12 from his 5 rides.
